Signs of Spring

 Spring is really coming.  February is a little early, however.

Miniature daffodils and behind to the right is my winter daphne  

Winter Daphne usually blooms in March

Smells soooooo good

The Rhodies bud up in October but bloom in April and May

This one is red

This one is light purple with a dark center

A Visit from Ellie & Pete

Brooke brought the kids over last week and 

she went to lunch with a girlfriend.  By the time they get

here its almost time for naps.  Pete napped on the 

way over so while Ellie was napping Pete played

For some reason they always like my balls of yarn

Until he found his sisters cell phone

That distracted him for a while

Is he a cutie or what??

When Ellie got up we got out some Strawberry Shortcake

dolls from yore and Brooke's big doll.  Pete took his nap 

while Ellie and I played

Bed hair

Ellie got her laptop out and performed a dance from 

Violets dance (Violet is the mouse on the laptop)

Then there was time to check out all the different electronic games

It was great seeing them and playing at my house!!

House Progress

 Brooke and Chris needed more storage so they put 

these cabinets in their bedroom

They really look nice.

Walt and Chris started them before Pete's birthday

and when Chris' parents came for the birthday, Larry 

helped Chris finish them off.

They look great and frees up a lot of space in

Pete's closet too!

I really need to improve on my picture taking.  I should have

taken some before and during photos too!!  Sorry

Brooke's Birthday

Brooke's birthday was February 4th so we went over to help 

her celebrate and another excuse to see the kids

We got there in time to see Ellie at her ballet class

She's in the purple sweater if you couldn't tell

I'm not sure what the position numbers are 

but I think this is #4 

and this is position 5(?)

Too darn cute!!

Pete slept thru most of the class

So when we got home he wasn't ready for his nap

but since Ellie was Pete got to play in "the corner"

and down the staircase she goes

all the way to the bottom floor

Fun times while sister is sleeping

When Ellie got up from her nap we decorated the

birthday cupcakes and then she made the rest of her

valentines for her preschool class

Do you think I thought to take pictures of that??

and she did such a good job cutting out the hearts 

gluing them together, putting stickers on them and 

putting them in their envelope.  What kind of Gram am I?

But I did take this picture of her teaching us a new game

of "toss the left over hearts"
