Leavenworth

After Cade's birthday we got home on Thursday
and headed to Wenatchee on Friday for
Marci's birthday and to go up to
Leavenworth to see the tree and town lightings
 Cascade Mtn.

 The town filled up
 Nice looking group
 Some of the sisters
 and the town filled up
until it was ready to burst.
 Before the lighting
and after
 Before
 and after
Blewett Pass on the way home
A heavy frost on the trees.
We had a great time and enjoyed the company.
Actually we had been in Leavenworth before at
Christmas time but didn't see the town light up.
We saw the lights after they were all lit.
New experiences in retirement!!

When we got home on Sunday we had time
to change and head to Walt's family Christmas Party
This is also a good looking group
Three of Walt's brothers and their wives
their kids and their grandkids
Walt and me too but Brooke and Amy couldn't make it
otherwise everyone made a showing
Oh, Santa too!!

Cade Turns 13

Cade turns 13!!  So we headed down to
California one last time this year!
Look at that blonde stripe down her braid
Cade made the birthday dinner of choice
and the birthday cake of choice
It's so nice when they can do all the prep
themselves
He and Claire even decorated the tree
Maybe it's the perks that drives him to do the prep
 I'm sure it's Claire's reasoning

Remember those birthday present openings of long ago?
Not the same at all
 Cousins on Andrew's side
He did a great job on the cake
He even made another cake on his actual birthday

and opened a few more presents
Happy 13th Birthday, Cade!!

While we were there Amy had a new refrigerator
delivered.
  So Andrew and Walt pulled
out the old one
 and cleaned under it
The new one was delivered just in time for
the birthday party with Andrew's family
It was like Amy got a present too!!

Halloween 2017

While in California Claire was putting
together her costume for Halloween
She even added a British accent to make
it even funnier.

Amy sent these pics on Halloween Day
She was a hit!!

Before I went to California I made Pete and Ellie's
costumes for Halloween and took them over to them
so they would have them for a couple parties and a
parade before I got over there for Halloween
Pete the Cat will have his White Tennis Shoes
The Crow
The white dots are pins because I had to glue the
last row on so the stitching didn't show
and of course the hat

When I came home from California and went over to Brooke's
to celebrate Halloween with the little ones
Brooke decided to potty train while she had reinforcements
so we played in the den instead of on the carpet
Ellie brought home 'Slime' from her party at school
 Yes, she labels everything
Trick or Treat night finally arrived
 Cold out, hence, the coat
Pete did not like the tail
 and off they go
to meet up with some neighborhood kids
About 5 princesses and a crow.  Pete is behind the glow stick
back by the garage.  Just a little stubborn
I got to go to Pete's Toddler Group one of the days
I was there..gluing feathers on an owl
 building with magnetic panels
 playing in Halloween colored lentils
which were really fun, the lentils were nice and cool
Ellie painted her Japanese windsock from one of
her countries she gets in the mail

 She's good!!
They like playing in Gram's bed
but without diapers is a little scary

I had a great time with all the grandkids while
Walt was hunting.  :o)

Just in...Cade finished his mask
Wow!!  You guys did a great job, very cool!!
