Baseball Champion in the Family

We went to California to watch some of Cade's 

All Star Games.  We made it for the last game of

the District 54 Championship, which they won.

Cade did awesome.  We got to see him make

a home run.  :o)

We had to head home before they

moved on to the Section 4 Championship games,

which they also won.

Claire was at our house

Off they went to the Division Championship which is

considered State but California is so big they send 

two teams to Regional so Cade's team was playing

for one of those seats, Northern California. 

They won the first game 7-1.  Lost the second game
11-6, and lost the third game in two inns of overtime
9-8.They played awesome.  They were understandable
disappointed but they should be proud of how
far they got.  

We're very proud of you Cade!!

Wish we could have seen all the games.

Claire's Visit

 We brought Claire home with us so she didn't

 have to go to more baseball games and she 

 could get out of the heat, but most importantly

she could spend quality time with Gram & Grampa

 She wanted to visit a pet shop so she could hold some pets

 She was in the height of her glory

 There were all kinds of dogs but no cats

 She got special treatment

She didn't have to share Grampa's motorcycle

 She showed me how to make slime

 Claire and I went to Seattle one day

but I forgot my camera so I used my cellphone

I didn't want to take too many pics since I needed

the battery to give Grampa a call when we got 

back home

We went up on the Ferris Wheel on the waterfront

 and she got a caricature drawing done

 What's a visit to Gram and Grampa's without Tony's Pizza

 and Dairy Queen?

 Had to get her up early to head over to Brooke's

to see her cousins again

 Charlie greeted her in his usual style

 They played in the sandbox

 Played Ladder Ball

 Kicked the ball around

 I tried to get a cousins picture

but someone wasn't cooperating

 Maybe a different venue

Not so much

Some people looked nice

 Claire worked hard or should I say played hard?

 and it showed on the way home

 We had to take Claire home way too soon, like the next day

 But the motel had an outdoor pool so it wasn't sooo bad

 with a Black Bear Diner in the parking lot

Mom showed up to pick Claire up and we had to 

say Good Bye!!

Way too short a visit but we had a good time while we could!!

Loved every minute of it!!

Claire did miss some baseball games but maybe not

enough.  She missed all the Section 4 championship games

but she has to go to the State Championship games.

Something different so maybe she will enjoy them
