Stairwell Update

Now that we have seen our California Grandkids

 and our Seattle Grandkids, 

it's time to finish our stairwell project.

Visit to Ellie and Pete's

We went to Brooke's to watch Pete while she

helped in Ellie's classroom

 We had to make a bike lane on the driveway

 He likes hills

 and dirt

 Cutie

 Daddy is back to making Lego structures

Pete wanted a Treehouse Garage for his cars

 Ellie had Jazz class after school

 She's getting ready for her recital

Pete likes to wear his Halloween 'Pete the Cat' tail

around the house, but he likes to wear it backward

Yikes!!

Amy's Big Project

Amy had a couple projects for Walt to do 

in his idle time when the kids were in school

The biggest one was wrapping her kitchen island

 The house is 15 years old and kind of dated

so Amy thinks.  

 She wanted something new so we started in

 She didn't want the ends to look like posts

 So the end of the island is now flat

 but the post still had to come out on the front

to hold the counter up

 Some new trim too

 She wanted an 'X' but she has an outlet there 

that you just can't give up when you use it a lot

Looks pretty good all done!!

Even better with the electric cover on and the plastic
gone from the floor.

Claire turns 11

Claire was turning 11 so we went down to California 

for her birthday.  We stayed long enough to watch 

some sporting events too.  Since we were going to

be there longer than usual Amy found some projects for us.

First things first tho.

 She's number 13 when she's playing and 17 when goalie

It's nice they make their own cakes

 Nice way to prop up your phone

 You can cook on a hover board, who knew

 Claire and I went shopping one day. 

Auntie Brooke supplied the birthday money

 Whenever there's down time

 Cade has a headset on to play with his friends

 Grampa had a project Claire could help with

Changing the light fixture on the patio

 Cade got to help with the island rehab

 and the fence repair

 Off to another Lax game

 Claire's goalie the first half

 and big scorer the second half

 Gram and Claire had some time alone

Fun!  Gram did neither of these things!  

Of Course I forgot to take my camera to 

Cade's baseball game.
