Brooke and Chris' Remodel -updated September 11

                                          Brooke and Chris have started their house remodel

they hired it done!!

This is how it looked before they started.

Ellie's room is the window on the second floor left of

the garage peak

It's getting a smaller window.  The garage roof is gone

and the outside walls so they can reinforce for a 

second floor

Side walls are up for two new bedrooms for Ellie and Pete

Front walls are up

and the trusses are up.  Coming right along

so for the mean time he gets to play on 

ladders

How the roof ties into the other roof. Ellie's room

sticks out a little more so the front of the 

house isn't so flat

The front door is going to be bumped out

a little to make more room inside when you come in

Looks like they are going to have a 

little roof over the door some major

beams there

And the whole house is getting a new roof

There they are!!  Had to go up for an inspection

While they are doing electrical not much looks new

But they did have some stuff done in the kitchen

Behind this wall is the dining and living rooms

To the left of the fridge is the dining room

Behind the stove wall is the family room

All before any thing was done

Then the kids got to be creative on the dining room wall

Before it was taken out oh and the ceiling in the kitchen raised

and the new beam put in

angle from the family room toward the dining room

they are going to remove part of the wall on the left 

to open into the living room but there will be a post

left in place to hold up the new beam :o)

Oh and they popped thru Lander's bedroom wall

into the addition

Got the windows in in both of Ellie's bedrooms :o)

Update as of August 27th

We went over to Brooke's for a community

cleanup party at the elementary school on Sunday.

Walt helped Chris build shelves for the kiln room

and I played with Lander,  oh I mean worked

hard keeping Lander entertained

and got some new pics of the remodel

the front door has gone in and the entry

has been opened up

Lots more room to take off shoes and coats

The entry walk has been poured

The upstairs hall to the new bedrooms is wider

Ellie's Birthday

 We got home from Curlew Lake in time for 

Ellie's Birthday

Ellie wanted to go golfing for her special 

activity

Nice form on all three kiddos

They could play all day out there, 

like most kids

Cade's Graduation

We made yet another trip to California

for Cade's graduation.  A very good reason

to go!

The seniors get to have a parade down the street

where the high school sets.  The whole

town comes out

The kids ride in the back of whatever they

can find.  Fill the backend with water

and squirt the bystanders.  It was really

hot so it was welcomed

Cade decided to ride his motorcycle

and picked a good view to go behind

Then on Friday night was the graduation

in the high school stadium.  We thought we were

going to be early.  Four deep all the way in front of the 

school, turn to the right and all the way thru the 

parking lot to the stadium gate

We ended up getting seats at the very end of the shaded

side of the stands. But they ended up at the best end for 

the ceremony

get their names called and get their diplomas

Payton is a friend from Kindergarten. Actually before,

her mom and Amy were teaching partners before the

kids started school

Whoop!  Whoop!!

Congratulations Cade!  We are very proud of all 

you have accomplished so far. Can't wait to see what

is coming for you next.
