Claire's new do!!

It's gotten pretty long

We took Ellie to meet her new baby brother.

She wasn't too sure of him at first.  They had been 

telling her babies cry a lot, but when we walked

 into the hospital room he wasn't crying and 

she said, "He isn't crying"

She warmed up to him fast

and when he cried all was well

She wanted to hold him  

and kiss him

and hug him

and then she ate her lunch in the hospital 

lying down on a pillow

She held him with Daddy too

We told her to laugh because she gets a funny smile 

when we say smile, just as funny

and then we were back home with her Legos and 

all was right with the world

Pete came home

Ellie went to her swim lessons with Gram 

instead of Mommy or Daddy

She had improved since the last time I had gone

with her

What is going on?

I think he loves his big sister 

As much as she loves her baby brother

This is an early January pic of Ellie when we went over on a Wednesday

Then Brooke decided not to go into the office until after the baby came so she wouldn't get caught downtown with the car and in labor.  We just waited by the phone.  And around 2 am on January 25th we got the call.  So we headed to Redmond.  At 7am labor stopped.  We decided to wait and see if they started back up.  We took Ellie to the school to play on some equipment.  

She had fun!!

And we still waited!!  Then at dinner Monday night Brooke's labor started up again just when we were thinking we might go back home.  Good thing we didn't!

Meet Pete

Pete Henry was born January 27th at 12:12 am.  His parents got to the hospital around 10pm on the 26th and figured they had a little time to wait.  

And it WAS a little time after all.

Christmas

Since Brooke's doctor didn't want her traveling within 30 days of her due date they went to San Diego earlier in December and were able to come to Gram & Pa's house for Christmas.

We Loved It!!

We not only had to play Candyland but Bob, LuLu, and Guy had to play too

Ellie caught on to this angel climbing the rope to the ceiling very quickly

Amy sent me these pictures of the kids in their pajama's I made for them.

They were really into Dumb and Dumber when they came up for Thanksgiving

Cade said they wore the pj's all day Christmas and it must have gone on

into the next day too while playing their new Clue game
