Each December Marci and I try to follow Mom's tradition
of putting swags at the cemeteries. Marci is good
about it every year but sometimes I'm in California
because Cade's birthday is right around that time.
Helen and family usually come with us.
Sometimes Brooke comes but they were busy this weekend
I got most of the pictures at the Auburn cemetery
because it wasn't raining there
It was pouring at Mom and Dad's and I forgot to get my
camera out :o(
Giuliana just finished a soccer game
Lex stayed in the car
William Donahoe is Pop, Mom's grandfather
Bertha is Big Mom, Mom's grandmother
William Crossman is Mom's brother, Jack
and Hazel is Mom's mother
Where is Guy, Hazel's husband?
Hazel's brother
How did he die?
He is one of Big Mom's husbands
A little cool but not raining yet
Last stop Washington Memorial in Seattle
My Grandparents
My Dad
Dad's Grandmother
Dad's Mother
Thanks Stevi and Marci for carrying on the tradition :) I hope to join you in 2 years :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this tradition! Too bad you had to have rain! I would love to see a picture of Granny & Papa's headstone next time you visit.
ReplyDeleteAlso, isn't your grandpa the one that my dad was also really close to? I think Dad ended up with some of his tools?
ReplyDeleteYes Lisa, Grandpa Mike and your dad had great times together working in Gramps' shop and going on fishing trips.
