We haven't been to Curlew Lake since the kids were
small. Don & Mickie had a trip planned and invited
us so we went. The joy of being retired
Mel & Gary met us there and Walt and Gary took
our kayak out on it's maiden voyage
in sync
We went down the lake and visited Tiffany Resort
Mostly cabins
The old railroad trestle now part of the bike trail
We stayed at Black Beach Resort you can see it across
the lake
The ladies spent their days painting rocks to
place around on our trip
The guys on the first leg of the trip
John, Dave, Tom, Don, Walt, Gary
The ladies
Mel, Mickie, Julie, Cathy, Sherry, Me
The view from our campsite
Can't beat it!
Took a boat ride
The view of our campground from the lake
Beautiful lake
Fishing was good from the docks too
A little foggy the last morning
Baby geese all over
Off to Hope, Idaho for some more fishing
Mel & Gary left us tho and our campsite
wasn't on the water
But there was wildlife
Didn't get many pictures there
The weather was a little stormy
Then on to Potholes Reservoir for the last leg.
Chuck and Diane met us there
Big campsites but not on the water
Had a killdeer family right in the campsite in the
hot gravel. Egg in the nest, might be hard boiled tho.
A lot of the campsites had full timers in them
One guy is a cherry picker and gave us a bunch of them
The fishing was good
Dave caught the 21 incher

The ladies painting rocks with their
head in their apps
Sherry broke her ankle a week before we left
She could have stayed home and sat around or come
camping and sat around. Good choice!!
We had a great time and the weather improved at
Potholes so a nice ending to a good camping trip!
Thanks for the invite Don & Mickie
