Amy and Kids visit

Summer Break in California

Amy, Cade, and Claire came up for 

a visit.  Claire had volleyball this summer

so she and Amy had to go home after a week

and Cade stayed on for another week

 She's Bad

First things first when you get to Washington

 4th of July at Jan and Doug's

Always a great display over the water

Then off to Pemlinger Farms for Ellie's Birthday

and of course cake

 Back to our house before Claire and Amy had to leave

Cade learned how to load ammunition 

 While Claire visited the local pet store

 We went kayaking for a couple hours

 Then off to Pizza at the best place in town

and of course Dairy Queen

Is that Yoda?

We headed to Seattle on the ferry to meet up with

 Auntie Brooke and family for lunch at Ivar's

(the seagulls were pretty noisy huh Pete?)

 a walk on the waterfront

 up to Pike Place Market and the Gum Wall

 After Amy and Claire left we took Cade to

Aunt Marci and Uncle Bruce's house

 So he and Jake could get some rock chucks

First one right out the gate

 Cade, Jake, Sam and Grampa

 Jake got one the next day

 Home again for some projects

 and fun!  Cade's now riding the motorbike on his own

Watch Out!

 Even learned how to change a tire.  That's what happens 

when you run over a nail

 Some down time

 and right back at it

 No time for cleaning

 And off to the airport for his first solo flight

 Yikes!!

 His cute bacon and egg socks

 Sniff, sniff were going to miss him

He had to walk outside downstairs, along the covered

walkway on the lower left and turn right down the 

middle of the picture and out to the airplane whose

tail you can see behind the 'A' on the plane in the front

Yikes!

 Then home just as we were getting home

We had a blast with this guy!
