Busy July

Let's see, where to start...after Bandon

we brought Cade home with us.  Claire had

Lacrosse practice so she couldn't come up then

Cade got right into the motorbike riding

and bullet loading and target practicing

but of course I didn't get any pics of those

Then we went to Bend, OR to meet up with Amy

and Claire.  Claire had a Lacrosse Classic there.

We went right thru Redmond, but not where Brooke lives

Amy rented a little duplex for the three days

Claire was playing

Cade got a taste of what Claire went thru all 

those years he played baseball and she had to 

go watch

A week before the Oregon Classic the officials let

Claire's coach know that his team was going to

play in the 14U catagory instead of their usual

12U.  In the other two tournaments Claire's team

played in 12U and beat everyone.  Now they had a
week to learn the rules in the upper class

This team was the only one Claire's team lost to this 

weekend.  Claire is in blue, number 8

We went to dinner

Amy had to head home because she was flying out

the next morning to Texas for some training for school

More games the next day

 After winning her game on Saturday Claire
and I went tubing on the Deschutes River

 She couldn't reach over the sides to paddle

 So we stayed connected any way we could

and I paddled the whole time

We tried to have dinner at this brewery the night before

Amy left but there was an hour and a half wait

so we went earlier the next night and got in in a half hour

Best Fish and Chips in Oregon they said

Looks like Brew but Ginger Ale

They were good

Cute little duplex but there was only one 

bedroom, Claire was lucky to get the couch

Cade was on the floor

Maybe that's why she looked tired

Still played good tho

This was only one ballpark in the Classic

there were three, each had six fields

Since Amy was going to be in Texas for 3 days we

took both kids home with us

Cade finally took Claire for a ride

A trip to see Auntie Brooke's

and we were off to pick Ellie up at

Girl Scout Camp

at Tolt McDonald Park

So we played in the Tolt River for a little while

Beautiful area

It wouldn't be a trip to Gram and Grampa's with out 

pizza at Tony's

Claire got brave enough to ride the bike alone

Not bad

Back to Oregon to give the kids back to Amy

Car trips are fun

Canyonville had a forest fire caused by a 

campfire

Smoke all the way to Medford

Got a picture of the fire on the way home

Had a great time with the kids

but a lot of traveling up and down

Oregon.
