Maui

                                        Brooke and Chris invited us to go to Maui with them on                                                               the kids Mid-Winter Break.  They wanted to be able                                                                to snorkel together with the big kids and have someone                                                                       to watch Lander.  Okay with me I'll take what I can get

                                                      The flight went well

                                                      Lander liked the window

                                   and what the girls in front of us were watching

                                          He got a big seat when Mommy got up

                                                    First sunset from our condo

                   Right outside the sliding door was this huge Chinese Hibiscus

                                                                I mean HUGE

                        We could see whales spouting and breaching right out front

                          and turtles feeding in the rocks.  Pete and Chris are down there

                                                       trying to get a closer look

                                                       And of course the pool

Oh My!!

                                            We rented a mini van so we could all fit since 

                                                the condo only has one parking space

                                               The Baby Beach was our first beach

                                                 shallow with coral and lots of sand

                                                 Good beach to get the kids to snorkel

                                          They were so excited at all the fish they saw

                                                       Lander loved the sand toys

                                                   Looks very tropical up the beach

                                               Yellow hibiscus and two cute kiddos

                            Cute little cement benches out on the lawn with Tiki torches 

                                              Our condo is on the end down below. 

                                           Perfect spot so the kids could run around

                                    Lander had his 1st Birthday while we were there.

                           What better way to celebrate in Hawaii than with Shave Ice?

                                                                    A little cold

                                                            but fun to play with

                                              Sunsets were fantastic. We even heard

                                           the conch shell blown at the Lahaina Luau

                                                             every night at sunset

                                                           Birthday Cupcakes too!!

                                                    Wasn't sure what to do with it

                               The pool was close.  Our condo is right there at the end

                                  Surfers are out there.  Just a stop along the drive

                                        Our condo complex had a few plumeria trees.  

                                   Wind blew blossoms down and we collected them.  

                                   They spelt so good!  Then we decided to make a lei 

                                                     Lucky Ellie!  She did a great job

                         A breakfast for champions...croissant with blueberries inside

                         Gorgeous beaches...I lost track of the names after a couple trips

                              We were trying to find the best one for the kids to snorkel, 

                                             low bank to play and lots of fish to see

                                                      Pete liked the sand the best

                                                    Lander liked walking us around

                  If you look hard you can see Moana Kea and Moana Loa volcanoes 

                                  Ellie was to cold after a while of snorkeling and 

                          Pete didn't like that it was so deep. So they tried wetsuits.

                           Thought maybe the wetsuit would keep Pete afloat better

                                                                There they are

                                                     There I am.  Life is good!!

                           A hike out to Nakalele Blowhole on the top of the 'Head'

                                            The first one you come to is a faker

                                          Keep going and you come to the real one

                                                           Starts out small

                                                          each one is different

                                           and on down the backside of the 'Head'

                               All these little communities.  I wouldn't want to drive 

                                                 that road to get home everyday

                                     in less than a week of being home.  Go figure!

                    Maybe a good thing since we were so close to the water everyday
