Halloween 2017

While in California Claire was putting

together her costume for Halloween

She even added a British accent to make 

it even funnier.

 Amy sent these pics on Halloween Day

She was a hit!!

Before I went to California I made Pete and Ellie's

costumes for Halloween and took them over to them

so they would have them for a couple parties and a

parade before I got over there for Halloween

 Pete the Cat will have his White Tennis Shoes

The white dots are pins because I had to glue the

last row on so the stitching didn't show

and of course the hat

When I came home from California and went over to Brooke's 

to celebrate Halloween with the little ones

 Brooke decided to potty train while she had reinforcements

so we played in the den instead of on the carpet

 Ellie brought home 'Slime' from her party at school

 Yes, she labels everything

 Trick or Treat night finally arrived

 Cold out, hence, the coat

 Pete did not like the tail

 and off they go

 to meet up with some neighborhood kids

About 5 princesses and a crow.  Pete is behind the glow stick 

back by the garage.  Just a little stubborn

 I got to go to Pete's Toddler Group one of the days

I was there..gluing feathers on an owl

 building with magnetic panels

 playing in Halloween colored lentils

which were really fun, the lentils were nice and cool

 Ellie painted her Japanese windsock from one of

her countries she gets in the mail

 She's good!!

They like playing in Gram's bed

but without diapers is a little scary

I had a great time with all the grandkids while 

Walt was hunting.  :o)

Just in...Cade finished his mask

Visit to see the California Grandkids

While Walt's hunting I jetted off to California to 

see Amy and her family.  They are usually booked

solid with baseball and other activities, but this time

was kind of an unusually laid back week.

 Cade and his friend were making Spanish masks for

their Spanish class.  This one is of Cade that his

friend made 

 and this one is of his friend that Cade had to make.

They had to sand them down and paint them still

Cade got sick while I was there and they didn't get 

the masks finished until after I got home.  

So no picture of the finished product!

 They watch TV a little strange in California

 not just boys either

 This is Payton's cozy spot while we are at the table

doing homework or playing games

 Sometimes it's harder to play cards than other times

 "Come on Cade, get done with your homework so

we can play."

 Lots going on right here at home

 Amy cuts Cade's hair and Payton's

 One day while we were out, we came home to Payton

stuck behind the cushion on the couch.  Don't know 

how long he was there, or if he only found out he

was stuck when he tried to get up to greet us

 She even clips nails, what a gal

 Cade making muffins for breakfast

 When Cade gets off the computer I guess it's Payton's turn

Had a great time! (Even if I caught Cade's cold)

Visit from Ellie & Pete

Brooke and the kids came over so Brooke could go out to 

lunch for a friend's 40th birthday and to celebrate Walt's

birthday a little early

Of course Gram has all these little vehicles to try out again

  Ellie has been riding a 'balance bike' in their yard for a while

but the driveway is so steep that it's hard to get much time in.

Then Brooke and Ellie saw this bike along side the road on their

walk with a FREE sign on it and brought it home.

They took it to the park one day and Ellie just got on it and

road away.  

 Go Mom!  Brooke rode the bike down the driveway 

 and Ellie rode it back up

 All while Pete quietly napped

 Now Pete is on the 'balance bike'

 He loves it

 Ellie did a craft for Daddy

She actually picked all the stuff up later

 I'm sure Daddy will love it

 Celebrating Pa's birthday with an apple pie

 Pete wants to be a cat for Halloween and I 

wanted to see if he was going to be okay with

the cat face painted on.  He was!

More outside time before heading home and before the

rains start!!
