We went over to Walt's hunting spot and 'dry' camped for
4 days so he and his fellow hunters could fix a bridge
and clear some brush on the trails
We started out in cloudy weather, yes July 11th and still cloudy
You don't have to wonder why this is called 'The
Evergreen State'
Then going up Chinook Pass we drove right into those clouds
Still had snow on the ground
The temp was in the low 40's
and on the other side of the pass it was clearing off
Off and on clouds but in the high 60's and low 70's in camp
Chuck and Diane's trailer on the far right, then ours
and Don and Mickie next to us and Tom and Sherry on the left
Campfire between Don and Tom's RVs
Notice we could have a fire in July? They must have had
some rain over there this Spring
The evening passtime after a hard day in the woods
Pretty surroundings with Chuck in the foreground
On the way home it was beautiful
Can't beat pictures with blue sky
Mt. Rainier from Chinook Pass
and those green trees in the sun
Mt. Rainier was covered with clouds from sea level near Buckley
but in Puyallup it was uncovered (right of the lamp post)
We had a nice relaxing time with family!!
Nice pics Stevi :)
